Introduction: The situation
Sea water is a large body of salt water that is surrounded in part by land. The sea is an essential aspect of human lives, and is used in many process industrial applications. Sea water is a mixture with many soluble and insoluble particles in it and cannot be used for domestic purposes, due to its hardness. So various methods were developed to treat sea water for its further use in domestic, process industries and marine industry.
The purpose of the study
The purpose of this study is to investigate the nature of sea water and the technology that has been developed for purifying the water, which can be used for many purposes, as the availability fresh water is only 2.5% on earth. Then you have to write a report using the format below.

Collect information about the topic using the sources below. You can use your mobile phones, handouts, or the library and discuss among the group members. The following questions may help you.
- Find out the composition of sea water.
- Find out why sea water cannot be used for the domestic purposes but it can be used for industrial purposes. Explain carefully.
