On the beam, as measured from A:
a. Calculate the total force(s) and the distributed load(s), and determine the location of the single force(s) to replace them. (Hint: Analyze the trapezoid-shaped distributed load separately as a rectangular distributed load and a triangular distributed load.) (25%)
b. Calculate the moments about A produced by each force, including the 12 kN force and any forces that replaced the distributed load. Add these to calculate the resultant moment about A, MRA. (25%)
c. Calculate a single resultant force, FR, to replace all the loading. (25%)
d. Indicate the distance from A on the beam where FR should be located so that MRA is replaced. (25%)
