Part 3: Density of a liquid (when
writing your report, the procedure should be in passive
voice)
Measure the mass and volume of the clear liquid sample in one of
the graduated cylinders on the table at the front of the lab room.
Use an identical, empty graduated cylinder to find the mass of the
liquid. Read the volume of the liquid right off the cylinder. The
cylinder is graduated in milliliters (ml) which are equivalent to
cubic centimeters (cm3). Enter your values in Table 4,
compute the density and determine the composition using the table
at the introduction section of the lab. Show all the work.

A rectangular block of metal weighs 1896 g. The dimensions of
the block are 8.4 cm by 5.5 cm by 4.6 cm. Determine the density of

28.5 g of metal shots is added to a beaker containing 45.50 mL
of water. The water level rises to the 49.10 mL mark. Calculate the
density of this material and report its identity in
