00:01 Okay, so to demonstrate how to properly cite sources using in -text citations and an apa reference list, let's say that we're writing a paper and let's say we found the following information on a book.
00:15 Let's say the book is by john smith.
00:17 Let's say the title of the book is going to be the art of writing and it was published in 2020 by let's say xyz publishers.
00:25 So the specific passage we want to cite let's say is on page 50.
00:30 So for the in -text citation, we would mention the author's name in our sentence and then we could simply include the year of the publication and the page number in parentheses.
00:44 So it would look like this.
00:46 It would say something like according to smith and then let's say that would be in 2020 and then we whatever it would be...
