BRICK PRODUCTION PROCESS
Clay and water are used to make refractory bricks in a plant which produces 550 bricks/day. Bricks have a mass of 4 kg. 2000 kg of pure, dry clay and 1000 kg of water are used per day. No clay or water accumulates. All the clay goes into the bricks, some water is removed when the bricks are fired in a kiln.
How much water is removed by the kiln (kg/day)? What is the percent water in the finished bricks?
