Go to UCI data repository (archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets.html), and identify a large dataset that contains both numeric and nominal values. Using Microsoft Excel, or any other statistical software: a. Calculate and interpret central tendency measures for each and every variable. b. Calculate and interpret the dispersion/spread measures for each and every variable.

Question: Obtain open data via an online database in regards to your majoring field (business/accounting/finance/economics). The data must consist of TWO independent variables and ONE dependent variable. It must also contain at least 40 sets of observations. (Eg: x1 = Weight (kg), x2 = Height, y = calories intake, of 40 patients) Task: * Calculate the mean, median, mode, and standard deviation for each independent variable and dependent variable. Hence, interpret each of the answers accordingly. * Obtain the regression analysis between the variables using Excel and interpret the summary table, fitted line plot, and normal probability plot. * Compute a regression analysis for each independent variable separately. Interpret the results obtained. * Consider evaluating whether or not a linear relationship exists between the independent and dependent variable. Use the t-test for testing the existence of a linear relationship by a two-tail test of the correlation coefficient. (Manual working only) * Obtain and interpret a polygon/histogram chart graph for each variable using Excel only. I have attached the dataset. The dataset contains house sales prices for King County, Seattle. It includes homes sold between May 2014 and May 2015.

Go to www.pearsonhighered.com/sullivanstats to obtain the data file $9_{-} 1_{-} 33$ using the file format of your choice for the version of the text you are using. The data represent the daily (for example, Monday to Tuesday) movement of Johnson \& Johnson (JNJ) stock for 200 randomly selected trading days. "Up" means the stock price increased for the time period. "Down" means the stock price decreased (or was unchanged) for the time period. Each observation is a random sample of time periods. Construct and interpret a $95 \%$ confidence interval for the proportion of days JNJ stock increases.
