Procedure: Task 1: Transient response of series RC Circuit
a) Set up the circuit shown in Figure 5 with the component values R = 10 kΩ and C = 1 μF.
b) Set the Function Generator to generate a 10Vp square wave at 1Hz frequency and apply it as the input voltage to the circuit.
c) Observe the input voltage on channel 1 and the voltage across the capacitor on channel 2 of the Oscilloscope. Set the volt/div the same for both channels.
d) Take a snapshot of the oscilloscope waveforms and include them in your report.
e) Using the time and voltage cursors, measure the time constant of the RC circuit (the time taken for the voltage across the capacitor to rise to 63% of its final value).
