QUESTION 1
First, research cash prize competitions in which the business you are developing in this course could compete. You will find many of these types of competitions are for college students. Search topics such as: business plan competition; business pitch competition; hack-a-thons, entrepreneurship boot-camp competitions and many other phrases as you start your search. Select any three (3) competitions that will occur by Dec 31, 2021 that you believe are ideal for your semester project business. Develop a hypothetical plan to successfully compete in all three (3) plans that you select.
This activity is not team-based. This is an individual activity. There is no need to collaborate or coordinate with team co-founders at this point. The expectation is that team members will create very different reports from each other given that there are thousands of competitions to select among.
Some competitions are annual, and an upcoming competition may not be announced yet. Use your judgment to determine if and when the competition will take place.
Many competitions state that at least one student on a team must be a college student at a particular campus. Any business can recruit one student from that campus to join their team and therefore become eligible to compete there.
Second, write a report that explains your PLAN to persuade your team of co-founders to successfully compete in each of the three competitions you select. Organize your report (plan) by three titled sections that show one competition per section:
Each section must show the following:
1. Description of competition details (paraphrased in your words and not copy/pasted) - 10 points if your report reads other people's or organization's words.
2. Dollar size amounts of top prizes.
3. Qualification Criteria for teams/businesses to compete.
4. What type(s) of person your team would need to recruit to be eligible.
5. Submission Requirements in order to compete.
6. All Key Deadline Dates that must be met in order to compete.
7. A live link of the competition (insert a live, clickable, link here...that is, a hotlink)
8. A persuasive argument that motivates your team to adapt your plan and take home that 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize.
