Read Titus 3:1-2, "Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of
no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men."
Everyone and everything exist in submission to someone else. Even in the home, God has called parents to assume responsibility
for the health and growth of the family. Those in authority do not necessarily have greater intelligence or gifts, but they do have
greater responsibility.
As a believer one must constantly examine their communication, especially in today's world of technology! Consider the tone of
your communication when writing an email or text message. It is important to not let down our guard and use harsh or ungodly
words towards others because of the safety of our computer screens. If you would not say something in person, face to face, is it
okay to type it out? We must consider our body language and facial expressions towards each other as well. When we engage in
conversation, we should ask ourselves these questions: Is it true? (Exodus 20:16) Is it kind? (Titus 3:2) Is it necessary? (Proverbs
11:22)
