Results Section Instructions:
The goal of this assignment is to WRITE the results section of your research study.
Students are tasked with presenting Table 1 results in the RESULTS SECTION in text
WITHOUT interpretation.
In the RESULTS SECTION of the paper, students will put the table results into full
sentences and paragraphs by answering the following questions in paragraph/sentence
form. Refer to the Results: Descriptive Analysis section of the Chang paper to better
understand how to write your answers using the correct phrasing.
1. What are the total number of participants in the study? Be sure to include the
information that the results were stratified by the presence of social support.
2. What are the totals for each variable?
What are the totals for each sub-category of each variable?
Yes or no, is there any meaning/importance for the calculation of P-values as shown
in table 1-explain your answer in detailed paragraph form?
When the results are presented in a table, you should refer to that table number in the text,
usually by putting it in parentheses at the end of the section of information that you're
reporting-e.g. "(Table 1)".
For example, from the Chang paper:
"Eleven percent of the population had asthma. Approximately 57.9% were born in
the USA, 69.4% were born in a high-income country, 29.5% in a middle-income
country, and 1.1% in a low-income country (Table 1)"
The Descriptive Statistics results tables have been provided below in Table 1.
