00:01 So for each of these problems, we want to write a system of qualities that would give us the following shaded solution set.
00:05 All right.
00:06 So let's start with the first one.
00:08 So first, i'm going to start with our solid line here.
00:10 Well, we want to write in the slope intercept form.
00:13 So we're going to have y.
00:14 Then because we're shading above the line, we know that it's going to be greater than them.
00:18 And because it's a solid line, it's going to be greater than they're equal to.
00:21 Well, then we need the slope.
00:23 Well, i can see our y intercept and our x intercept.
00:25 Well, how do i get there? i would go down four and write four.
00:29 Well, negative 4 over 4 is negative 1.
00:31 So i'll have negative 1x.
00:33 And then our y intercept, as i said, was 4, is plus 4.
00:36 So now we have our first inequality.
00:39 Now, for the second, i'm going to scroll down a little bit here.
00:41 So we're going to have y.
00:42 In this case, we're also shading above this line.
00:46 So it's going to be greater than.
00:47 But it's strictly greater than because it's a dashed line.
00:50 Well, now we need to find our slope.
00:52 Well, i can see our y intercept and i can see our x intercept...
