Texts: Discussion Board #2-2: Physical and Cognitive Development in Infancy
Initial Posting (90% of your critical thinking discussion board grade)
Part A: Application
Write a description of how something from the material fits with something outside of class. This could be an application to the media, e.g., a television show, a movie, a website, a song, etc., or to your own life, or the life of someone you know, or to something you have learned in another class. You need to fully explain each side of the application - both the topic you are applying and what you are applying it to. Then you need to fully explain the application itself. This section needs to be one paragraph in length (at least 5-6 full sentences). Please be sure that this is an application of one thing to another. The most common mistake that people make is to just discuss something that they find interesting. That is not an application at all.
Part B: Critical Thinking Question
Pose a critical thinking question to the class. This question should be one that has the potential to provoke a discussion among your classmates. This section needs to be a minimum of one sentence. It can be linked to Part A but it doesn't have to be.
Response Postings (10% of your critical thinking discussion board grade)
You must post two responses to the discussion board as well. These can be responses to other people's critical thinking questions or you could be commenting on an application or even on another comment. Each response must add something meaningful to the discussion and must be a minimum of two sentences in length.
