00:01 This problem says an aircraft uses 260 pounds of fuel in 2 hours 45 minutes, and approximately what is the rate of fuel consumption per hour? and to figure this out, what we want to do is put our usage over our time that we were using it, and that's going to give us the 260 pounds divided by 2 hours and 45 minutes.
00:21 And the problem currently with our setup is that if we show 260 pounds and then divided by, or over, 2 hours and 45 minutes, we have some of our units in our denominator in the form that we want hours, but minutes isn't what we're supposed to end up with as far as our rate per hour.
00:41 So what we're going to do is remember that 45 minutes or an hour is made up of 60 minutes, so when we have 45 of those 60, that means that we have 3 fourths of an hour, or 0 .75 of an hour...
