The diameter of an internal chimp artery is 0.004m. Blood has a viscosity of 0.005 Pas and density of 1020 kg/m^3.
1) If the blood flow rate is 0.2400 m/s, what is the average velocity of blood (in m/s) in the artery?
2) What is the Reynolds number of this flow?
3) What is the pressure gradient (delta P) necessary to generate this average velocity over an arterial length of 2.3m?
I'm pretty sure this problem has to do with Reynolds number formula, Poiseuille's law, and average velocity formula of the laminar flow. But I am not sure. Thank you for your help :)
