Preop Dx: Lipoma of the left posterior thigh Postop Dx: Same Procedure: Excision of lipoma This 30-year old patient, Lacey Maple, was brought to the operating room where general anesthesia was induced and maintained via an endotracheal tube. A 3m transverse incision was made centered over the visible and a palpable mass, carried down through the skin and into the deep subcutaneous tissue. A 2.0 cm x 2.7 cm mass was noted. This was shelled out. It had no major neurovascular attachments. This was removed in its entirety. Copiously irrigated and aspirated. The fat layer was closed using 0 plain catgut. The skin was closed with 2-0 dermalon. What is the CPT code assigned?
