The sucrose solution at 294.3 °K is sent at the rate of 0.015 m3/s from a pipe to the large closed bioreactor by the help of a pump. The bioreactor is located at 2.3-m below the inlet point. The line from the pipe tank to the pump is 45-m and contains two 45° elbow and a wide open globe valve. After pump, the line is 81-m and contains two 90° elbow and a swing check valve. The galvanized iron pipe is 2½-in schedule 80 steel pipe (Patm=756 mmHg).
