What does the value of the correlation coefficient tell you about the strength and nature of the relationship between two variables? Be sure to consider the full range of relationships.
Adi S.
correlation is used to discover relationship between variables in DATA. what is the correlation?
A correlation coefficient of 0.97 for two variables based on 300 data points most likely indicates: a very weak relationship exists between the two variables. a very strong relationship exists and, on average, the value of one variable increases as the value of the other variable increases. a non-linear relationship must exist. an error in calculation has occurred because correlation coefficients cannot be negative. Negative linear relationship must exist.
