Today we're going to be talking about survivorship curves.

Now, survivorship curves have three different types, and that was supposed to be, it's not cooperating with me, hold on.

It's supposed to be a zero, all the way up to a thousand, kind of on a log scale.

But anyway, keep that one as a 1 ,000.

So type 2 survivorship is kind of like, constant loss, where young and old kind of have a similar rate of mortality, whereas survivorship one is more like humans and other mammals, where we have a long lifespan, but we have more mortality towards the later part of our life, so it's called late loss.

And survivorship type three is the opposite.

It is early loss.

So there is probably a smaller period of life, so shorter generation times, more offspring, and less parental care...
