Hi guys.
00:01
Today we're looking at the question, victims of blank are more likely to recognize that the eating behavior is pathological.
00:06
The more life -threatening disorder is, and the options they give us are between anorexia nervosa.
00:12
I'm going to label that as a -n, and then the other option is bulimia nervosa for b -n.
00:18
And before we really look at the answers provided, i'm going to start by going into a little bit of what each disorder consists of.
00:25
So a -n -anorexia nervosa is going to consist of mainly dietary, restitution, and restrictions.
00:32
And that's going to involve really controlling what you eat, watching what you eat, and often to an unhealthy degree where you're losing a lot of weight and you're not getting the necessary nutrients and food that you need throughout the day.
00:45
And it's going to be categorized by over -evaluating your own body, body over -eval.
00:53
Yeah, i'm just going to leave that as eval.
00:55
And concerns about weight.
01:05
Baleemia nervosa is going to be characterized by two things.
01:10
It's going to be binge eating, which is going to be a period of eating a ton in one sitting, often feeling like you can't control yourself while you're doing it, and it just, you just keep eating.
01:24
And then to compensate for the binge eating period, it involves purging, where you try to get rid of everything you just ate.
01:34
Sometimes a lot of times it's going to be through vomiting other stuff like that yeah and this is also going to involve over evaluating over evaluation of the body sorry getting my pen to work like that one and uh body dissatisfaction concerns overweight similar so they're similar in terms of potentially thought processes i believe but bingey, oh sorry, bilemia nervosa is going to take more of a, you're going to be binge eating and then you're going to be compensating for it.
02:21
Anorexia nervosa doesn't really have the binging period.
02:23
It just involves dietary restriction.
02:26
Okay, since we know that, i think it's going to be helpful to go into the question now.
02:31
So once again, i'm going to write a -n -v -b -n.
02:38
So we have a, where victims of anorexia are more likely to recognize that their eating behavior is pathological, and then the more life -threatening one is bulimia.
02:51
This is not going to be the case.
02:53
First of all, before i start this question, i just want to say that both disorders are extremely life -threatening.
03:00
So don't think that one is safer than the other just according to this question right away.
03:05
I think one is considered a little bit more severe is the only thing.
03:10
And so, okay, so it's actually not going to be a, where victims of anorexia don't see their behavior as pathological.
03:18
They see it as more as this is what's necessary.
03:21
And bulimia is going to be the less, the least, sorry, less life -threatening disorder...
