5. Radiation pressure
The power of electromagnetic radiation from the Sun at the distance of the Earth is 1.3 kW/m$^2$. Assume a 100% reflective mirror of area 1 m$^2$ perpendicular to the propagation direction of the radiation. How large force is exerted on the mirror by the radiation? How would your answer differ if, instead of reflection, the radiation is absorbed? Hint: use the photon momentum to calculate the momentum delivered to the mirror/absorber per time interval.
