The general purpose of this speech was: Question 1 options: Speech to entertain Speech to inform Speech to refute Speech to persuade The speech appears to be given to fellow students in a speech class. What audience-related considerations might she want to make when constructing her message? Question 2 options: None. The speech is really for the teacher grading it, not the students in the audience. Choosing examples relevant to her student audience (known from being in class with them). When giving statistics related to the problems with pop drinking, she may want to exaggerate the numbers a little for dramatic appeal and for keeping the audience's attention. You cannot make safe generalizations about your audience. Our speaker had a captive audience, so she didn't need to work to keep their attention.
