How would I go about calculating the amount of paracetamol in a tablet given that I have done light spectroscopy at various dilutions?
Added by Jared C.
Step 1
Use these solutions to perform light spectroscopy and measure the absorbance at a wavelength where paracetamol has a strong absorption (usually provided by the spectrophotometer manual or literature). - Plot the absorbance values against the concentrations of the Show more…

What is another method for experimentally determining the amount of acetylsalicylic acid in an aspirin sample besides titration? I was thinking spectroscopy, but I don't know of a good standard. I just need a basic - yes spectroscopy is a good method (if it is) and an idea of a standard I could use for it.

compute the concentration (mg/ml) of paracetamol in the final dilution. 100 mg of paracetamol was dissolved with a 10 ml buffer in a 100 ml volumetric flask and diluted to volume. an aliquot of 10 ml is transferred to another 25 ml and diluted to volume. another 5 ml is transferred into another 25 ml volumetric flask and diluted to volume.
