00:01
All right, so we have this data on some cuckoo eggs.
00:04
Okay.
00:06
And the first thing i did was i put it all in my calculator.
00:09
And so you've got to be careful about the frequencies, right? so, for instance, for 22 .05, if the frequency was 9, that means that there's 9 of those 22 .05s, right? so you keep going until you have 9 of them.
00:25
Anyway, so i put all those into my calculator, and then i made a little histogram.
00:30
And the histogram looked kind of like this.
00:36
Really large peak here in the middle.
00:41
Sort of like that.
00:43
Okay.
00:44
Now, this does not have any obvious skew.
00:50
And so that would be graphically summarizing the data, right? and then also, if i look at the one variable statistics, i see that the mean is 22 .26, and the median is 22 .25, which is also a good sign.
01:10
That i can use the normal distribution, right? because the mean and median are very close to each other.
01:19
All right, so we have this data on some cuckoo eggs.
01:23
So those are good signs that i should be able to use the normal model...
