Operant Conditioning in Your Life The behavior I want to change is to stop hitting the snooze button when my alarm goes off. First, describe the behavior you are trying to change. Second, state how you will change it. State what type of reinforcement or punishment you will use, and describe what schedule of reinforcement you will use to maintain the new, desired behavior once it has been changed. State why you would choose this specific schedule based on what you know about schedules of reinforcement. Third, go out and do it! And report on how it went (or how it is going so far, if this project is ongoing).
