Phillip is a 38 year-old man who is brought to the clinical by his mother. She states that Philip has been telling her that the next door neighbor is controlling his behavior. He has told her that the next door neighbor made him destroy of all his red sweaters. His mother states that she does not believe that anyone told her son to do this. In fact, she states that no one lives in either of the houses that are next to hers. She reports that noticed a deterioration in Phillip’s behavior 6 months ago, where he started to become depressed and withdrawn. She mentioned that he no longer takes care of himself. He does not wash his clothes or combine his hear. She states that she does not understand how Philip could in contact with the next door neighbor because they do not know where the neighbor moved to, and they do not have any way of getting in contact with him. The mother reported that she asked Phillip about this and he stated that the neighbor has been speaking to him through the television. The mother stated that when Phillip told her this she decided to bring him here today.
