Consider a time when you or a family member/friend was sick (could be a minor sickness like the flu, or something more serious). Discuss how various biopsychosocial factors may have contributed to the illness. Discuss the behaviors involved and how you feel those behaviors contributed to the illness. Reference the textbook in your discussion post. End your discussion post with one well-thought-out question related to health psychology from which your colleagues can formulate a response or generate further discussion.

The Contributions of Sport Science, Social Theory, and Sport Psychology Sport science, or what is commonly called kinesiology, is a diverse set of subdisciplines ranging from sport history and exercise physiology to biomechanics and sport psychology. Although each subdiscipline is grounded in a different set of constructs and principles, they possess a common thread, that is, the study of human movement and physical activity performance. How do the subfields of sport sociology and sport psychology complement each other? Provide one example of how gaining an understanding of the scientific findings and insights offered by sport sociology and the various theoretical perspectives emphasized in the text might enhance a sport psychologist's performance enhancement work. Responses to the questions above must demonstrate understanding and application of the week's readings. You must not merely ask questions of your peers, although questions are appropriate at the end of a comment about the content of the reading material to foster the critical thinking of others.
