Some common electrically powered devices found in a home, apartment, or dorm room include: refrigerator (230 W, 8.0 hours), 60W-equivalent LED light bulb (11 W, 5.0 hours), cell phone charger (9W; 60 minutes), coffee maker (810 W; 10 minutes), LCD TV (150 W, 5.0 hours), and an electric alarm clock-radio (6.0 W, continuous). The numbers in parentheses are the electric power rating for each device and a typical amount of time the device is active (turned on during a day).
