Mental Illness For years communities have battled with the lack of resources for those suffering from mental illness. Individuals with limited access to health services show a higher rate of mental disorders (Mugambwa et al., 2023). By assisting the community in obtaining resources necessary for mental illness, you will be able to cut down on homelessness and incarceration of those suffering from mental illness. Mental Health Resources Counseling/Therapy, support groups, and medication are a few resources associated with mental illness. Sociodemographic can have a negative effect on mental health issues, with families below federal poverty line having unmet mental health needs (Nagata et al., 2022). The more assistance we receive for those suffering from mental illness, the better chance we have at preventing homelessness and creating stable crime free living.
