A mechanic had four cars towed to his garage in less than one hour. Each car owner complained that their car just began sputtering and then stalled. The mechanic learned the following:
Car 1 is a Ford Taurus and it had recently had an oil change at Sam Slick's Service Shop. The owner also bought gas at Granny's Gas Station.
Car 2 is also a Ford Taurus, but it was purchased at Billy Bob's car dealership. It also had a recent oil change at Sam Slick's, and a new carburetor was installed as well. In addition, it got a fill-up at Granny's Gas Station.
Car 3 is a Dodge Caravan purchased from Dan Dealer's car lot. The owner just bought gas at Granny's Gas Station. A new carburetor was installed recently at Sam Slick's, where a new high-end oil additive was also put in the engine.
Car 4, a Chevy Corvette, also got the new oil additive from Sam Slick's. The owner bought it at Billy Bob's dealership. And just before stalling, the owner bought gas at Granny's Gas Station.
