When a ray of light strikes the boundary of two media such as air and glass, a part of the light is turned back into air. This phenomenon of light is called: Select one: Interference Reflection Refraction
Vysakh M.
A ray of light passes through four transparent medium with refractive indices $\mu_{1,} \mu_{2}, \mu_{3}$ and $\mu_{4}$ as shown in the figure. The surfaces of all media are parallel. If the emergent ray $C D$ is parallel to the incident ray $A B$. We must have (a) $\mu_{1}=\mu_{2}$ (b) $\mu=\mu_{1}$ (c) $\mu_{3}=\mu_{4}$ (d) $\mu_{1}=\mu_{1}$

Round 2
When light waves traveling in a transparent medium strike the surface of a second transparent medium, they change direction. This change of direction is called refraction and is defined by Snell’s Law of Refraction, $\frac{\sin \theta_{1}}{v_{1}}=\frac{\sin \theta_{2}}{v_{2}}$ where $\theta_{1}$ and $\theta_{2}$ are the magnitudes of the angles shown in the figure and $v_{1}$ and $v_{2}$ are the velocities of light in the two media. Show that this problem is equivalent to that in Exercise $51,$ and that light waves traveling from $P$ to $Q$ follow the path of minimum time.
