Routing Question: 1. Consider the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol. Suppose that at most one node in the network may misbehave by dropping some of the data packets it is required to forward. Explain how DSR may be modified to tolerate such a misbehaving node. (You may assume that the network is sufficiently dense.) 2. Consider the DSR protocol. In one version of the protocol, each node only forwards the first RREQ it receives corresponding to any particular route discovery, and drops the remaining copies of the RREQ it may receive. Similarly, the destination node responds to the first RREQ by sending a RREP, and drops the remaining RREQ. Does this approach ensure that the source node will discover the shortest route (that is, a route containing the fewest number of links)? Explain briefly.
