Recent discoveries show that we live in an open universe with an accelerating expansion rate. Which of the following statements are true? Since the universe is open, galaxies at the border of the universe will fall off the universe making their own universe Since there are galaxies and dark matter in the universe, eventually, universe will stop expanding and collapses to create a big crunch due to the gravity of the matter. The expansion rate reaches a limit in far future in which even galaxies will rip apart due to the rapid expansion. Since the universe expansion rate is increasing, it would never stop expanding nor collapsing to create a big crunch in future.
