00:01 So here we are going to talk about the extinction vertex.
00:06 So extinction vertex is basically a type of vertex which explains why populations of a certain size basically are at an increased risk of extinction.
00:24 So it explains why the extinction rate is quite high in certain size of a particular population and it also include the effects of inbreeding depression.
00:38 Inbreeding depression usually occurs when a particular species undergo breeding or mating within a particular population only and because of that inbreeding depression is being caused because the same traits which include the traits which are harmful and which are not good for that particular population are also transmitted again and again.
01:02 In the same population and this will also have a role in lowering the genetic diversity and because of the genetic diversity of that particular population in that ecosystem basically lowers it basically also tells that it is an exorbated usually by habitat fragmentation so it usually occurs due to fragmentation of a particular habitat and as the fragmentation basically occurs, this fragmentation usually reduces the connectivity among the population.
