So today we're going to be going over problem number one in chapter 16, social psychology, and this problem is asking us about how we can reduce aggression.

So to tackle this problem, i first want to talk about something called an incompatible response.

So an incompatible response is a behavior or an action that actually conflicts with another action or it occurs at the same time with another action.

So an incompatible response is really important when we want to figure out the effect of a joke on reducing aggression.

So when we think of incompatible responses, we're thinking of two actions that simply just don't go together or things that can't be performed at the same time.
