00:01
In this video, we're going to be looking at creating a fitness plan.
00:05
Okay, and the goals of this plan are to use the f -i -t -t principle.
00:11
Okay, and that stands for frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercise.
00:16
Okay, so we're going to be using that principle to create a plan that will improve and sustain our fitness.
00:24
Okay, and how the f -i -t -t principle generally works is that by varying the frequency, intensity, intensity, time and type of the exercises you're doing, you're more likely to get a full body overall workout rather than focusing on just one thing.
00:41
You want to focus on your total entire health, and that will help you improve all around.
00:46
It also helps with sustainability.
00:50
As you're varying your exercises, you tend to get less bored.
00:53
And the less bored you are, the more you tend to stick with something.
00:57
Okay, so just to get started on this, we're going to be filling out a couple of charts.
01:03
And the first chart is just going to be a little bit of basic background.
01:06
And you'll see two sections are already filled in.
01:10
That are the general goals.
01:14
Okay, so we want to maintain our physical activities and we want to use those activities to improve our fitness.
01:22
Okay, and specific goals are to attain a target weight, bmi, and nutritional status.
01:27
Nutritional status is basically your general overall physiological state.
01:34
Okay, so that takes into account your level of activity, your food and nutrient intake, stuff like that, any conditions or diseases you may have or not have.
01:46
Okay, so just everything basically concerning your general overall health.
01:50
Okay, so let's start filling this out and i'm going to fill it in for myself.
01:54
You're obviously going to fill it in for yourself.
01:57
Okay, so i put my name, emily a, my height, weight, bmi and my nutritional status as listed as fair.
02:05
I think i'm in pretty good overall health, but i could have some better habits, mostly involving food and looking at nutrition rather than just calories.
02:18
Okay, so my target weight is five pounds heavier, and my target bmi is obviously going to increase as i increase my weight.
02:28
And i would like to go from, a nutritional status of fair to good.
02:34
Right, so how can i do this? and here's our second chart.
02:37
Okay, so we can see that we've been giving our categories and then one example, just to get us started.
02:43
So something we could do to increase our physical activity is doing some household chores.
02:48
We want to do that four to five times a week...
