So when we're looking at learning, we can categorize learning into concrete learning and abstract learning.
00:07
And something we found is that generally we do more abstract learning.
00:11
So i'll explain what that means.
00:12
So if i have a pet rat, and excuse my terrible drawings, but if i have a pet rat and i train him to push a button, every time he sees one specific blue dog, i have three pictures, a blue dog, a black dog, and a red dog.
00:26
Every time he sees one specific blue dog, he presses a button, he will look at a little dog.
00:31
Eventually learn to press this button with the blue dog, but not with the black dog and not with the red dog.
00:37
And his learning is, you know, one specific stimulus at a time results in a response.
00:46
And so if i wanted to train my rat to identify dogs in general, i would have to teach them one at a time with the blue dog, the black dog, and the red dog to press that button...
