Why do you think different states use different terms to describe credentialed individuals? What are the terms used in your state? Are there credentialed individuals in your state that are not noted in your reading?
Some professions have credentials that are additive to their main credentials (e.g., diplomates, advanced practice, etc.). Do you think those who obtain licensure or become a national certified counselor (NCC) should have the opportunity to obtain an even more advanced credential? Why or why not? What might that credential look like?
Is there a pecking order in the credentials of mental health professionals where some credentials hold more weight than others? If so, do you think such a pecking order is justified and important? Why or why not?
