Video Transcript

We need to write down as many algebraic expressions as we can using the following cards and then we're going to write a problem so involving the 4 operations using the terms 3 and not so. You can have 3 times in 3, plus n, 3 minus n n minus 3 point. You can do 3 to the end power n to the third power to n divided by 3, or you going to do 3 divided by n till they are just some examples and then we're going to write a sum involving the 4 operations. So the 4 operations are going to be add, subtract multiply and divide. So we have the so write. A problem is problem. Some involving the 4 operations using the terms 3 and 3, an minus 4 divided by 10 point. So you have multiplication, is of division and then plus n, and then we can make it equal to 13.

Absolute Value - Example 1

In mathematics, the absolute value or modulus |x| of a real number x is its numerical value without regard to its sign. The absolute value of a number may be thought of as its distance from zero along a number line; this interpretation is analogous to the distance function assigned to a real number in the real number system. For example, the absolute value of ?4 is 4, and the absolute value of 4 is 4, both without regard to sign.
