What do you think is meant by the statement "empathy is a path we walk, not a destination we can ever reach"? How might you prepare yourself to try to empathize with one of your classmates who comes from a different ethnic or religious background than you do, or is of the opposite sex, or has a different sexual orientation, or perhaps has a different set of abilities or disabilities than you do?
