Discuss the attitudes toward welfare recipients that you have encountered in your family, school, and community. How were these attitudes developed? Does your attitude differ from other attitudes you have encountered?
Legislators in Congress voted to restrict payments for prescriptions for the aged on the grounds that people overuse the medical system when they don't have to pay for it. What do you think of this reasoning? Do you think you would overuse medical care if you got it free?
