Write Equations of Perpendicular Lines - Example 1

A line is a geometric object that "lies on" a pair of straight line, and "intersects" (or "cuts") the pair. A straight line is a line that lies on a plane, and "intersects" (or "cuts") the plane. A pair of straight lines is a straight line that lies on a plane, and "intersects" (or "cuts") the plane. A plane is a flat, two-dimensional surface that "lies in" three-dimensional space, and "intersects" (or "cuts") the three-dimensional space. A line segment is a part of a line that is bounded by two distinct end points, and contains every point on the line between its end points. A ray is a part of a line that is bounded by a single distinct point, and contains every point on the line that lies on the same side of the point as the ray origin. A line segment is a ray that contains the segment end points. A line segment is a ray that does not contain the segment end points.
