Numerical Summaries

This course introduces the concept of Numerical Summaries. It discusses the syntax for declaring a Measure of Location. It provides a detailed discussion of various types of measures of location such as Mean, Weighted Mean, Median, Geometric Mean, Mode, Percentiles, and Quartiles. It talks about the description of the Measures of Variability. It elaborates on the concept of Range, Interquartile Range, Variance, Standard Deviation, and Coefficient of Variation. The course develops further with the introduction of the concept of the Measures of Distribution such as Shape, Relative Location, and Detecting Outliers. It then goes on to derive the summary of the Five-Number Summaries, Boxplots, Comparative Analysis Using Boxplots.
