Colorado College

As long as I remember I've been passionate about mathematics. From elementary school, I've excelled in the subject, but it wasn't until my freshmen year at Colorado College that teaching math was ever on my radar. Since that year, I've pursued teaching secondary math for Denver Public Schools (DPS). My first step towards teaching was through the Blueprint Math Fellows program where I worked with 2-4 students at a time achieving below grade-level for the 2014-15 school year. The following year, I earned my Master's in Teaching through the University of Denver and completed my student teaching at Grant Beacon Middle School. For the past 3 years, I've been teaching 6th grade math at Kepner Beacon Middle School and will be returning for my 4th year for the 2019-20 school year.

At KBMS, our students receive 1-to-1 technology, and I utilize that technology on a daily basis. Additionally, I've created screencast videos for my students in the past, so making the jump to Numerade was quite natural for me. I'm excited to be a part of the Numerade team, and I look forward to seeing this organization grow and reach more students in the future!
