Steps Start off with an opening statement from plaintiffs and defendants o Focus is solely on the jury Plaintiff o Brings in witnesses Summations o Lawyers have more leeway with this o They do their closing arguments Ending Judge reads the law to the jury o The jury then goes in a room to make a verdict : Can last 10 minutes : Can last days
