2 Part Proposal
1) In order to solve this pressing issue in big pharma we need to decrease the amount of exclusivity time guaranteed by the current patent law.
2) Lastly we must prevent non-innovative patents from being abused to increase their exclusivity time in the market.
Doing both of these would increase the number of generic products in the market which would in turn decrease the prices of naloxone. This would most definitely have a direct impact on the opioid crisis
SWOT Analysis
Strengths:

Weaknesses:
Not timely, exclusivity periods that exist will last up to 20 years even from now, so the changes will happen gradually
