The bill being presented would improve access to affordable prescription drugs and would be able to lower the price of drugs for patients and taxpayers while spurring innovation. o This will allow for Medicare to be able to negotiate for lower drug prices for their clients/ patients. o Would eliminate out of pocket costs for prescription drugs CBO has not scored the bill Reasons to co-sponsor the bill So far up to date all the co-sponsors have been democrats, therefore there is that in common It is going to help low income families and people who use prescription medications for everyday life make their life simpler. It could make the difference in saving someone's life (epi-pens, etc.) By signing onto this bill the access to affordable prescription drugs will be something that everyone can afford and will increase the potential and quality of someone's life
