There was a few different ideas that came to mind when Iooking at the Uncle Sam poster but of course the biggest one was patriotism. It's not a new concept or astounding concept but it is true it is a patriotic poster. It was an easy way to persuade people in our country that they had some of obligation to fight in the war, it made them feel needed on a larger, grand scale. It made people feel this sense of urgency to run off and enlist to be a part of something bigger than themselves which fit the culture it was made in. The intentions are clear, join and fight if you were able and to support if you couldn't, simple as that. It was to make people feel needed and wanted and o make them feel what they were doing was a good thing for themselves and their loved ones.
