science knowledge or lack thereof, and what is specifically important to the audience.
Having a healthy work/life balance means maintaining both your work life and personal
life to reduce stress, prevent burnout in the workplace, and managing your time between the two
by creating time for all aspects of your life. When working in human resources, your job is to
observe the well-being of your employees. By doing so, you are being sure that the work
environment you create prioritizes work/life balance to help yourself and your employees
maintain a healthier lifestyle and a more productive workforce.
Explain why this issue is important to you personally. In other words, why did you select
this issue to investigate?
I selected to further investigate the influences on work/life balance because maintaining a
work/life balance can help reduce stress and anxiety and prevent potential burnout in the
workplace. This is important to me personally because I get very stressed and anxious easily and
doing my best to maintain a work/life balance has helped me tremendously. After doing this
research, I have found many tips and tricks that I have added into my everyday life that help me
balance my work life and my personal life. I have found ways to make more time for my friends
and family while still staying on top of my job.

I thought that work/life balancing was just ways to balance working and hobbies. After
investigating more on this topic, I realized I was wrong. There is so much more to the influences
on work/life balance, and so much helpful information for me to learn about and explore. A
healthy work/life balance is being flexible in order to get things done at work while still having
energy and the time to enjoy your personal life. At first, along with thinking a work/life balance
was simply balancing the two, I also thought it was being able to divide the time in your day
between work and your personal life. After thinking like a scientist to research and develop
questions, I realized that much more plays a part, and I understood the importance of having a
healthy work/life balance. It allows you to better your mental health, reduce stress and anxiety.
and find time for all aspects of your life in a positive manner.
