Describe one of the beliefs and values of the Navajo as illustrated in your readings.
One value and belief system that I found interes ng was they way they go about con Ict resolu on. Instead of instant death or locking them up in jail right away, they give the person a chance to explain the reasoning behind what they did. They believe that all issues can and should be handled with discussion.

Describe one way in which the Navajo have incorporated their beliefs and values into the societal structure on the reserva on since regaining some autonomy in the 1970's.
The Navajo are aloud to use ceremonies and healing rituals to try and cure the their ailments even is the medicine is available. A lot of the modern medicines and prac ces are available on the reserve if chosen to be used instead.

What beliefs and values can be found in your culture? How do these beliefs and values in uence your day-to-day life?
In the Italian culture, family is everything. We prefer to have big get togethers with all the family and normally a home cooked meal by mom that is enough to serve everyone. If there are issues, we normally resolve them with in the family and do not tend to go and tell others our business. This has lead me to keep my family. ght and raise my kids in the way that they know they can come to me or their mother with anything going on.
