Module Eight Question 1
a. Who is the audience of this presentation? How do you know? b. Why does Claudia think the audience should care? c. What parts of the presentation are impactful? In other words, what parts of the presentation would really convince the audience that they should care?
1. Those working within the prison system are the target audience for this presentation. Claudia is trying to convince people who work in the prison system to emphasize rehabilitation and provide better programs for inmates. 2. Claudia knows that offering better programs to inmates, such as arts programs, is crucial to reintegrating them back into society. Consequently, recidivism will be reduced. Rehabilitating inmates will financially benefit everyone in the long run. 3. When she mentions how her cousin is incarcerated in her presentation, that is the part that is most compelling. Describing her cousin's personal experiences with the arts program, it's clear he was able to creatively express himself and his feelings. Because of this program, he has not reoffended since his release.
Module Eight Question 2
Identify places in Claudia's script that you think should be accompanied by visuals. For each place you identify, indicate what kind of information you think she should include on the slide. For example, you may think personal images are appropriate in some places, or that graphs or charts representing data may be helpful in others.
It might be more helpful for Claudia to use graphs to illustrate the statistics of reoffending inmates. Graphics provide a great way for people to see numbers. She should mention her cousin at another point as well. To put a face on a name, she should provide a before and after picture of her cousin.
Module Eight Question 3
Choose the remaining 3-5 places in the script where you will incorporate visuals. Briefly note where you will include these visuals, and describe what will appear on the slide.
I will incorporate visuals in every slide with the exception of the title page. The visuals will simply be pictures that I find via Google that display what is expected on the page. I believe that when making a PowerPoint presentation, visuals make the page stand out. Otherwise, you might as well be writing an essay.

Complete the checklist after practicing your presentation. Identify at least three adjustments that you will make to improve the presentation based on this critical evaluation.
- I will make sure to properly cite anything I quote. I will also make sure my sources are credible.
In addition to ensuring that I have the appropriate facts to back up my message, I need to ensure that I am still able to attract and keep the audience's attention.
I want my presentation to encourage people to do their own research on why racial biases exist as well as find ways to put an end to racism.
